Have you ever thought about how you nourish your mind? I am a big advocate for caring for our minds as much as we do our bodies. We often talk about physical health and what to put into (and what to avoid putting into) our bodies, but how often do we consider this with our minds? How do you start your day with your mind? Are you nourishing it with the equivalent of Cheetos and Mt. Dew or with proteins and vegetables? Don't get me wrong... some Cheetos and Mt.Dew can be just fine for us both physically and mentally, but is it dominating our mental space? Do you mindlessly scroll through news and social media or do you spend time in meditation/prayer/mindfulness/journal reflection? Some of the best resources for our mind come from within. Going deeper within can look different for all of us from meditating in nature to spending time in prayer. How will you spend time today nourishing your mind?
